Vent Circuit Anti-Disconnect Device Marpac’s vent circuit anti-disconnect device is designed to help keep your ventilator securely fastened to your tracheostomy tube, resulting in fewer accidental disconnects. It is made of a unique cloth/foam laminate that is gentle on the skin and non-adhesive, yet grips your vent circuit securely. Rounded edges - The velcro tabs on Marpac’s anti-disconnect have rounded edges so there are no rough edges on your neck. Soft Velcro - Marpac’s vent circuit anti-disconnect device is made with soft velcro, designed to be gentle on your skin. Threaded Connection - Our device features perforations in the center to allow you to easily thread your vent circuit though it before securing it to the tracheostomy collar with the soft velcro tabs. Sizing - The Marpac vent anti-disconnect device comes in both adult (900) and pediatric (905) sizes. Use with Marpac Tracheostomy Collars – Although Marpac’s anti-disconnect will work with other tracheostomy collars, we recommend that you use a Marpac tracheostomy collar with soft velcro tabs because it is easier to secure. (The soft velcro on the tracheostomy collar will hold the velcro on the anti-disconnect. Other brand’s velcro won’t grip them.) Wrapped Connection - If your vent circuit will not easily thread the Marpac vent circuit anti-disconnect device, it also works by wrapping it around the vent circuit (most likely the “T-Connect”) and then securing the soft velcro tabs to the tracheostomy collar.
